Frequently Asked Questions

How long will does it take to repair/replace auto glass?

A windshield chip repair will normally take approximately 15-30 minutes to fill, but can take longer if the chip/crack is extensive and covers a larger area.Having auto glass replaced can take as long as 3 hours, but we like to finish within a 60-120 minute window, if not less.

The length of time required to tint a vehicle depends on the body style and how much glass is being tinted. If you’re getting your entire car tinted and there are many curved portions of glass, it could take as much as 2 hours, whereas a windshield tint-strip normally takes about 30 minutes.

When should I replace my auto glass?

If there are pieces to the glass missing larger than the head of a pen, or if there is a visible “hole” in the glass, your glass should be replaced immediately.

If your windshield has 3 or more “chips”, a crack 6 inches or longer (cumulatively), or if there is a “chip” within the driver’s line of sight, the windshield should be replaced.

If there is any damage within the frame of the glass, or within six inches of the frame of the glass, you should strongly consider replacing the glass..

I have insurance, will it cost me anything for a replacement?

If you carry glass coverage on your insurance policy, you will not be charged for a replacement.

Will my insurance rates go up if I file a claim?

Arizona residents, as well as other “No Fault” state residents, are not held liable for damages arising where no party can be held at fault (i.e. flying rocks, extreme weather, etc.), and therefore cannot legally have their rates increased as result of such damage.
